Mint

Mint or menthe is a genus of plants in the Lamiaceae family (mint family). From the mint plants menthol is extracted and is used for flavourings in foods and other products. This substance gives the mint products their characteristic aromas and flavours[1]. Mint chocolate is a variety of chocolate, which is made by adding mint flavouring such as peppermint and natural mint flavouring extract. There are lots of different mint chocolates on the food market[2].
