The global cocoa crisis, driven by poor harvests in West Africa (where around 70% of the world’s cocoa comes from), has made sourcing high quality cocoa beans a bit trickier. But don't worry, we're on it!
To maintain the scrumptious taste and affordability you love, we're introducing a blend of shea butter alongside cocoa butter in our dairy free choccy. Shea butter, harvested from the African shea tree, offers a rich, dairy dodging creaminess that perfectly complements our signature flavour.
Shea butter brings a whole host of benefits to our choccy, from enhancing texture and melting properties to improving the release of chocolate flavour for an even better sensory experience. Not only that, but it helps improve shelf life and chocolate bloom stability, making our dairy free chocolate even more enjoyable!
Plus, we’re all about doing things the right way. As proud members of the Global Shea Alliance (GSA) Sustainability Programme, we’re supporting fairer work conditions, stronger communities, and a greener planet – all while empowering women through sustainable shea production.
