The Vegan Chef Institute

Do you have a knack for vegan cuisine? Well we have an intriguing proposal for you. Moo Free Chocolates is teaming up with The Vegan Chef Institute.

Started late 2018 by Day Radley, an international professional vegan chef, and Chantal Di Donato, a distinguished health coach, The Vegan Chef Institute is a specialised school that aims to provide the vegan community with a place to learn, research and develop vegan recipes and train to become professional vegan chefs. Moo Free Chocolates will be donating some chocolate for their classes to help them create some delicious vegan desserts and potentially sponsoring them to help them move forward.

Currently you can choose between a 12-week course (Sundays 9am – 5pm) or a 24-week course (Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30pm – 9:30pm minus bank holiday weeks). Maximum of 8 people per course to ensure everyone is tended to equally.

People who are applying may want to bear in mind that this fast-track course is aimed for more intermediate home chefs as the course assumes that you:

  • Are able to follow a recipe, including baking.
  • Have created a variety of vegan dishes.
  • Are familiar with a variety of vegan ingredients.
  • Are familiar with a variety of techniques.

Beginner courses are planned later on in 2019.

The course will cost you a total of £2000, broken up into a 10% deposit (£200 non-refundable) and 2 separate payments of £900.

The course itself takes place at The London Cooking Project, Battersea 1 Ethelburga Street, London, SW11 4AG. Though please be aware that for a couple of sessions you’ll be visiting vegan suppliers around the London area

The venue does have parking that is free (on weekends only) people who intend to travel by foot your nearest underground stations are Battersea Park and Imperial Wharf.
