Made with Moo Free: Chocolate Shortbread Christmas Trees

Chocolate Shortbread Christmas Trees


  • 125g of vegan butter
  • 55g of caster sugar
  • 180g gluten free flour
  • 100g of chocolate


  1. Heat the oven to 190oc.
  2. Rub the butter and the sugar together until smooth.
  3. Stir in the flour to get a smooth paste. Turn on to a work surface and gently roll out until the paste is 1cm/½in thick.
  4. Using different size stars cut 2 of each out and place on a baking tray.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown. Set aside to cool on a wire rack.
  6. Once cool gently melt the chocolate in a pan and half dip all the stars setting aside to harden again (you can also decorate with Christmas sprinkles) once all set you can stack in to a Christmas tree as a perfect gift or centre piece.
